Many times, a homeowner will work with an agent even though the home is not listed with a real estate broker. If you want to see homes offered by the owner and want the advantages of the protection and guidance of your own agent, please let me contact the owner and set the appointment.
New construction homes can be a great option as well! Most builders are more than willing to work with agents who accompany the buyer to the property on the initial visit. I previously worked for a builder, so I know what kinds of options you have for negotiating. Typically, you do NOT pay more for a house just because you have a Realtor, so why not have someone looking out for your interest. If you happen to go into a model center, please mention that you are working with me to protect both of us.
